help but notice how Ayn Rand's perspective seems to be the absolute
opposite of the God of the Bible's. I'm going to do more research on
how much of the Bible is spent talking about caring for the poor, but
here are a couple passages that came immediately to mind.
"Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were
arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and
needy."
Ezekial 16:49
" 1Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery
that is coming upon you. 2Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten
your clothes. 3Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will
testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded
wealth in the last days. 4Look! The wages you failed to pay the
workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of
the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty. 5You have
lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened
yourselves in the day of slaughter."
James 5:1-5
